I inquired about some lawn care services recently and asked to have someone from the company visit our property and give a quote ( I specified that I wanted to be present for this). Some days after this conversation, I received a voicemail from Toni Hanson providing an estimate. When I called back to ask about this, she said they had already sent someone to assess the work to be done on my property. If this statement is true, it would mean that they had sent someone on my property without my consent or presence. I ignored this oversight.
The company eventually sent someone - Kelly, when I was available. In addition to our conversation on lawncare needs, I had inquired about landscaping even pointing to our neighbor's property and asking about something similar. Kelly responded that he would ask his boss and revert to me.
After the visit, Toni Hanson touched base with a phone call and asked for my email so she could provide me the estimates. In this phone call I asked her to include figures for the landscaping inquiry I had made. She said she would ask the specifics from their technician who had visited. When she sent the email, she indicated that their technician had insisted that no landscaping inquiry was made and we only discussed lawncare. I emailed back to explain that I had indeed inquired about landscaping and the technician should have just owned up if he forgot, instead of misrepresenting our conversation. Toni Hanson responded with the following email:

Good afternoon Tega,

I have inquired in to your concerns with our technician who was sent to provide the quotes at your home. Unfortunately, through the multiple conversations by phone and email we have had I believe Valley Green will not be able to meet your expectations and for these reasons we are unable to quote the landscaping project you are asking about. We wish you the best in your future search for a lawn company who is able to meet your satisfaction.

Whether or not Toni is part of management or had the backing of management in sending this email to a potential client is not known. However, this flippant attitude to a customer tells me that she is satisfied with the current volume of business and demographic her company currently serves. It also speaks volumes about the company culture. I will be telling everyone I know not to further patronize this business.

Completely unimpressed. Lack of consciousness in quality of service and/or performance.
Valley Green repeatedly exhibits its incompetence in the business of lawn 'care'. Instead of taking quality care of a lawn, they destroy it: creating deep ruts with tires, ripping grass when spinning/turning, gouging chunks out of trees, denting and scraping siding, spreading mud all over property by mowing just following a rain, and leaving debris scattered all over sidewalks and entranceways. They do not repair damages on the grounds created by winter plowing or lawn mowing.

I have had Valley green take care of my lawn for a few years. They are excellent. From the staff in the office to the people doing my yard work. Could not be more pleased.

Constantly terrible service. Sometimes they cut the grass every week sometimes they don't. The grass is routinely 10 inches long because they simple don't cut it. When they do cut it we have about a 50% chance of missed spots and uncut streaks. IMO they simply have no pride in the work they do and it shows consistently in the lack of quality we receive.

Haven't  seen them would  have been nice if they  show up before  it snowed and rained. My neighbors  got there's  done different  Co.?
