This is a huge store!  I almost got lost here :) I liked that the range of goods is very wide.  I did not like the fact that there was some chaos a bit.  I don't know what it's about.  But I wish there was more order in the store.  And so I can recommend this place.  Be happy!Thank you for reading!

Good place to find some (not over priced) tools, especially if you know where to look and what you're looking for. Got my new Dewalt land mower there and a great price. Unfortunately, Home Depot employees are notorious for trying to hide, or being clueless when you try to find someone to help you.

Picked up a small amount of lumber and swipe my Home Depot card and walk out. Why was it $1068 dollars? I look at the receipt later...was charged for 146 fence boards instead of 26. For real? Then they don't answer your calls...I really want to like this store but I'd rather go to Hayward.

Homedepot needs to put attention to keeping parts available but overall, still a great place to find regular materials for the tradesmen:)

They are unbelievably under staffed and have been for long enough to believe that it's worth more in sanity and self care than it could ever reward as employment. I'd feel differently had I not been subjected to the chaos myself. Those who do work there seem to be contrasted between twenty somethings to 30yr olds doing all the floor work while more capable 36 to 40 somethings work the registers with sourly impatient attitudes lacking any sort of reassurance that experiencing the check out process will be a breeze. I was snapped at by an employee for not realizing that the checkout line was so long it began far back enough to notice. not a single staff member acknowledged my presence during times I needed assistance and the only employee that spoke to me was rude af so I plopped down my armful of merchandise on the nearest shelf and left. Not saying it will be awful forever but it's not better then literally any other Home Depot I've ever been to

Today April 3rd 2022 I had the worst customer service in my life. This lady Rena from paint department was in-welling to help, or ask for an assistant. However, I spoke to this cool manager and things worked great.

Just went to get a key made which only took a few minutes. No problem and the employee who helped was very nice. I asked where to go get this done at customer service as soon as I walked in to avoid wandering around aimlessly.

Had a great experience today picking up an online order. A wonderfully friendly woman greeted us, apologized for the wait (which has been less than two minutes), got my order, and told me how my door online order could have been combined to just this store.

I wish home depot would hire people that know what they're doing and teach them the  knowledge they need in their departments. I was in the San Leandro store for 2 hours I asked two people where items were located, either one of them knew!

It's best to go to Ace hardware where knowledgeable people work!!  Or support your local hardware store. I will never ever go back to home Depot ever again.
