As someone in the building industry, I’ve always had apprehension about visiting a local Home Depot. I’m usually expecting to be met with morose attitudes and a marked lack of product knowledge. Today, my experience was far different! A young man named Justin made sure I found what I was looking for, got extras I needed from back stock, and did so expediently and with a great attitude. 10/10 service from him.

Workers were extraordinary in helping us load up for a audio/video recoding studio build

This review is strictly for the Hayward Cashiers! I visited in September 2021 and these two young women in the Garden registers were super sweet and had accurate inventory knowledge on what I needed before I could show a picture! The lady cashiers were more helpful then the " garden associates" who never came. They asked for a survey yet I forgot their names one had a foreign tattoo behind her ear and the other young lady had a hand tattoo!

This location is the worse Home Depot I have been to! Messy store, bad customer service. It can be no staff at the online pick up desk while a bunch of people piles at the return desk chatting. The return desk is the worse, always a bunch of people there but still slow as hell. And even they see you are lining, they will still chat loud. If I don’t walk up, they’ll chat forever!

Home Depot is Home Depot, it was crowded of course. They happened to be out of a lot of things. But it's the holidays so what do you expect. But I have to say even though they were so busy a employee still was able to help me. They had the lines moving quickly, all in all a good shopping experience.

This doesn't happen very often at HD, but praise is due when something good happens:  I was surprised when an employee reached out to me and asked if I needed help, Oh yes... I was looking all over the place in the fastener section and he helped me locate several options and where they keep the special fasteners... he stayed with me until I located the things I needed!

Of course we know home depot never has enough help! One worker i asked for help acted like she was too busy to answer any questions. Also she acted like i was bothering her! But one worker did guide me in the right direction when i asked where an item was located.  Though he still only guided me to the aisle, he NEVER made sure i finded item!  All in all this store has few workers to help!  For any women who really needs help go to ace in castro valley! They have real workers who know how to help.

Went to the desk in the carpet area where I spotted two home Depot employees because I needed assistance, ask them a question and they hardly looked up from their phone and pointed in a direction of where I might find what I asked for. I asked where about it again one of them didn't even look up and pointed that way. There are more concerned with what they were doing on their phones than wanting to help a customer

Confusing stuff I was looking for wasnt where they said it would ask staff on the floor they run like scared rabbits when you approach them. So they lost a few good sales .....

Pretty similar prices as Oregon Home Depots. Had to find a part while visiting the Bay Area. Staff is friendly and helpful.
