  I love this store and the friendly, hard working, and very knowledgeable staff. From fertilizers, to potting soil, to seeds, bulbs, pottery, plants, fish and fowl, this is the place to go in Spokane! (Even the home-made candy by the check stands is just amazing!) I was just there today getting food for a large female Mantis I brought in the house to save from freezing outside this week. They are so helpful and friendly. I love the giant Red Macaw, the huge stick bugs, the amazing giant tortoise, the hens and roosters, the songbirds and all the other animals in the store. Just a fun place to shop and visit and well worth the trip from anywhere in the inland Empire. Thanks, JD South Hill, Spokane

  Just recently we decided to add some fish to our family. We went into Northwest Seed & Pet without any knowledge about what we needed first other than the tank itself. I have to say if it weren't for Michael and his helpful advice our fish would have went belly up over night. He advised us to acclimate our water, (which took us 2 weeks) helped us pick the perfect tank & although we wanted to walk out with fish that same day we listened. We came back with outstanding water from our tank so it was perfectly habitable. Michael gave tips on which fish get along with which so we have friendly pets. Directed us to which foods we would need for our new members, showed us how to clean our tank, made sure we had enough gravel & that some other decorative pieces were a right fit. He went above & beyond. He's definitely a man who takes pride in his work, my husband & I were so impressed! We thanked him and left as happy customers. I decided to call on our way home to get his name. I hope he's recognized more for his enthusiasm for fish. He's an incredible employee in our opinion.

  I've been to the Sprague location a couple of times and I really enjoyed the customer service there. It feels more like a family there. I love their seed selection, plant section and that they have their own line of yummy products like jellies, pickled asparagus, dips, etc. My container garden will be set this year! Now that I've found this Spokane gem. 💎 Special mention to Dawn for her wonderful customer service and genuine desire to help others. And Ruby the parrot is sure to entertain while you're there, or just sit pretty. I love this place! Good pricing too. And as an immunocompromised disabled person, I appreciate that they're taking mandates seriously.
