Went on a whim after visiting numerous shelters for a kitten for my husband. Greenhill was our final stop and it was WELL WORTH IT. We ended up bringing home a wonderful cat who has fit in perfectly with our little family. Their process is simple, and gets you in touch with animals that meet what you are looking for. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, not condescending as some other shelters can be. We adopted Lucille, a shy kitty who clearly wanted to come home with us. She’s come out of her shell and we could not be happier with her. Please visit this shelter, you absolutely will not regret it. Lucille (now named Momo) was a cat I never would have picked of my own accord, but since the staff took the time to listen to us and match our personalities, she was a shoe in. Thank you so much Greenhill Staff!

We got Dezzy on 7-14-21. This dog is amazing, she was a complete different dog at the shelter. As soon as we got in the car she turned into a 70lb lap dog. The folks at the shelter were great folks also.
Update: Dezy is a great dog we have had her 4 months and she. Is the best dog I’ve ever seen.

Love the folks at Green Hill. The volunteers are very helpful and the staff take good care of the animals. The adoption process was straightforward and easy.

We took our Cat into The GreenHill Humane Society in Eugene, Oregon last week to be adopted. We were one hundred percent thorough with his intake paper work. The next day, we downloaded their website. They completely changed his information. The majority of the information they chose to write did not match nor coincide with the information we wrote about our Cat on all of the sheets we filled out. We were so upset, that we returned yesterday to demand them to give us our Cat back. They were very nice and understanding. They did give us our Cat. Although, they did not follow through with our instructions which consisted of feeding him his Cat Food and his Greenies that we gave them when we initially gave him to them. Please be very careful if you were to choose to surrender your pet. Try to do your best with keeping your pet. There are not enough good, loving, and responsible homes for them in our Country. Please remember that pets are for loving, not leaving. It would be the same if a parent(s) were to give up their child for adoption or an Orphanage.

Thank you to Greenhill for helping my boy get home safe! After he was lost we were able to find him turned in at Greenhill. He received a full check-up, along with basic vaccines, flea treatment, etc. All for only a $20 boarding/holding fee. Which is absolutely reasonable/cheap for the services provided. They made sure he was up to date with his rabies vaccine and license before we left. I'm impressed by the quality services they provided while making it as easy as possible during such a stressful time.

I'm a senior citizen and my cat had kittens three in November 2021 and then the holidays. They were too young too give away. Then I got COVID 19 and was unable too do anything with them. I'm just now getting better and called Green Hill and they say that they don't take kittens older three months that need socializing. I'm so upset and I want too do the right thing with them but no one will help. I called the cat rescue and they told me too fill out the surrender paperwork online at Green Hill and they won't help.

We were able to bring home two kittens that were all ready to go, for less than it would have been fixing one *free kitten*. They were so kind and our new family members are perfect! (Perfect?) 😉

Very kind people working here. They helped me with a kitten today. Even stayed late to get thru everything with us after what I know was already a very long and busy day. And someone also arrived to return a large dog at 6pm, right when they close. Much appreciation the people working tonight (Weds, Nov 10th). Your greatness does not go unnoticed.

Website is rubbish & you need an appointment to even look at animals. If you arent planning on buying during that appointment they will turn you away, on the sliiiight chance they do let you in its for 5 minutes, you're extremely rushed and treated poorly, they then push you out as if to say-
WELL DONT LET THE DOOR HIT YA WHERE THE GOOD LORD SPLIT YA.

They're basically forcing adoption which is a disgusting practice. I can't say what the background check is like considering I dont work there. We'll never get the truth on that either. However they're sending out animals without thinking twice in my eyes all in the name of money.

Go with a different rescue if you can. Greenhill is practicing some shady operation at this point.
