This company did a good job, however they have the worst communication. I would constantly get calls after already having set up an appointment with one person who never relayed it to the team. Or multiple people would come out to do photos of what they said they already had gotten. In the span of the two months (Mid November until Mid January) it took to do the remodel I probably had at least 10 different trips to my house. I feel like for what was done, they should have only needed half of the trips and better communication so that I wasn’t constantly bombarded with calls about setting up an appointment that was already confirmed… that happened non-stop.

We have had some neighbors have terrible experiences when they have had a flood so when we found water in a basement bedroom, we were super nervous about who to call.  Our insurance company recommended ARS and we were extremely satisfied with our experience with them. They came out quickly, assessed the damage, and got to work drying things out.  Tyson did a wonderful job talking us through the process which really eased our minds.  We would highly recommend ARS!

Had a great experience working with ARS. They were always easy to get in contact with and keep us updated. They repaired our basement from water damage and it looks as good as new! You would never know. Tyler S. specifically did a wonderful job with the repairs!

Let me start off by saying they did not end up doing the work. It was a small flood we took care of it ourselves. But the ARS employee who came over did help and talk to my mom she does not speak English. She only speaks Spanish, and this employee Tyson I believe his name was helped my mom understand what’s going on what needed to be done as my mom would say his Spanglish was not that bad. He even took the time to use an app on his phone to help communicate and help my mom understand what was going on  he took the time to take care of my mother so ARS I hope you guys value your employee because he values customers and just people in general. So Thank you!!! I know who to call if We ever have another Flood.

It took 3 months just to get my bathroom redone, and then they forgot to put any insulation in the walls. Now I can hear my neighbor yawn through our adjoining wall. They are sending someone to "meet with me" about it, so we'll see if they get more stars after that.

Update: The bathroom is now onsulated, although they couldn't be bothered to match the paint they used last time, so most of the bathroom is white and one wall is a creamy yellow. We've given up on having them fix anything further.

I really loved our construction man Alan. He was fair, quick, great at communication, and very helpful with our choices. I was less impressed with whoever it was who was in charge of the job at ARS. (The estimator?) He came by mid-December and said it might take until after Christmas to have the estimate go through our insurance. That's understandable, but when I called after New Years because they hadn't contacted me yet (even though I had tried calling the week before and left messages . . . they never called back and even though the secretary said she was passing on the messages) they said it looked like insurance still hadn't gone through, even though I told them that I had gotten an email that it had from my insurance and that they were sending a check to me for the job. ARS seemed confused and said they'd call back in a day or two. They never did. A week later I called insurance myself when the check actually arrived and they said it should be good to go. So I called ARS and they again said that it looked like things weren't done on insurance's end. I don't know if someone messed up somewhere or if this guy didn't know what he was talking about, but when I told him I had already cashed the insurance check then they finally put me on the schedule . . . over a month after they first met with us, and more than two weeks after insurance had cleared things on their end. When things were mostly done, the estimator came to check things out and noticed that we were missing a plug cover and some things that catch the top of our closet, and said he would come and get those taken care of. This never happened and I haven't heard from anyone since.

Alan, who actually did drywall, painting, and carpet, was fantastic. Alan did great work, though there are a few paint cracking issues along the baseboard that I'm hoping to contact ARS and get repaired, since it appeared about a week after the job was done. I think he gave us a huge discount in labor in putting in our carpet and new padding, too.

In summary, the poor stars are because of ARS itself--because of the failure to communicate, return my calls, and actually do what they said they would do with insurance I would give them zero stars. I actually even contacted my insurance and was *this* close to jumping ship to another estimator and repair place because of the communication issues and the seeming lack of competence. Alan would have gotten 4/5 stars, and would only be docked that one star because of the paint cracking along the baseboard.

As an Insurance professional, these guys are my go to when it comes to restoration and repair. I needed a company that can treat my clients with the same care, patience and consideration that I do. This is very important to me as it reflects my business as much as it does theirs. These guys have bent at my every whim and have raised the bar with expert customer service. Keep up the good work guys!
