Great store, well knowledgeable in the hunting and firearm section. Manager Glenn is very friendly and helpful. Just wish Academy gave veterans discount. Not the stores fault. Keep up the great work.

I went through 2 separate lasers for my gun. I eventually got with the employee in the sports dept. We agreed that I bring my particular gun to the store and we'd find a laser that would fit it perfectly. Great customer service!

I can’t give enough thanks and praise to store manager Chris that helped us out. He helped solve a Christmas nightmare that truly made my wife’s stomach and mine drop after getting home to wrap a present. I will 100% shop all day at Sherman academy over any other academy just because of Chris and his help and kindness.

Meh.  They have lots of Carhart if you are into that.  Shoes and boots are skimpy, women's boots are almost nonexistent.  Was going to buy my daughter some cowgirl boots for riding but nope, none here.

Asked for help on price of unmarked free weights. The lady associate 5 feet away was not interested and very rude, i planned to buy 4 pairs of plates 400 dollars worth, but she scanned 1 an returned to sit on floor an do her protein bottle display. I understand people have bad days but don't bring it to work, and if you didn't want to help call another associate.

My husband loves the outdoor section. They have way more products to choose for. I like the shoes section something for the whole family. And has something for every sport. Defiantlt lives up to the name. Can find many brands here.

Definitely this Academy Store in Sherman is the best all around go to store.  They have everything you need. Save a trip to Dallas and spend your money locally.  What they might not have in stock you can order on their website . Very clean store and awesome team members that are very knowledgeable in their field.

I love this Acadamey. They have a huge selection when it comes to their sporting good. The staff is friendly and alert to the guest need. They take action when needed and are always there to help. As I began to get into fishing their staff helped me pick out my rod (which I use to this day). They have a huge selections on baits and hooks and frequently have sales. I urge you to use the scanner as I have found some its that have been moved around from other shoppers and you can find sale items around the entire store. They have a huge selection on footwear and even care work shoes. Again they have frequent sale items and you can get a pair of water proof boots for under $15 at times.
